Abstract
Elément métallique à inertie variable réalisable sans perte de matière première à partir de tôle d'acier galvanisé en bobines et permettant en outre la réalisation d'éléments mixtes métal-béton par simple remplissage du caisson constituant l'élément. Ce caisson est formé de 2 demi-coquilles ayant ensemble une section rectangulaire de largeur constante et de hauteur variable. Les 2 demi-coquilles sont assemblées par un procédé de soufre n'altérant pas la galvanisation. Chacune des 2 demi-coquilles est obtenue par pliage d'une tôle en forme de trapèze; les 2 trapèzes des 2 demi-coquilles sont obtenus par refendage en biseau d'une tôle déroulée et coupée à longueur, de largeur constante. Des flasques sont soudés aux 2 extrémités de chaque caisson pour permettre l'assemblage des éléments entre eux. Ils servent également à l'obturation des bouts en cas de remplissage de béton. Ces éléments peuvent être utilisés de façon très économique en charpente et en construction pour tous les cas d'efforts variables le long d'un élément longiligne (flexion et/ou flambage).
