Abstract

A control process for milk or milk products derived from a first animal species milk to detect the possible presence of milk from a second animal species comprises the following. An immunodiffusion reaction is realised between milk proteins of the second animal species and specific antibodies of these proteins contained in the serum from the first animal species, in which an immunitary response has been developed previously by injection of the milk proteins of the second animal species so that the animals produce the specific antibodies. The process is used in control means comprising principally one or more diffusion plates in the diffusion material of which is contained a specific immunoserium of seric milk proteins of a determined animal species. The process is partic. used for controlling the purity of goats' and sheeps' milk. Compared with the hemagglutination method of the principal patent, the above is more precise and simpler to operate.
