Abstract

The motor driven milling head has a mandrel, to which a cutting or milling tool is fixed, and which is driven from the motor rotor via a drive spindle, to which it is secured. The rotor (22) has a hollow cylindrical shaft (24), to which the hollow drive spindle (36) is coupled at its top end (34). Shaft and spindle are moved in relation to each other in the axial direction. The spindle has at the lower end an opening (40) tapering in the axial direction, for the mandrel (42), which has a tapped hole (64) at its top end. The mandrel is secured by a long bolt (60) slid through shaft and spindle, and having a threaded lower end (62), by which it screws into the tapped hole.
