Abstract

The method is for attaching sheets of fabric or plastic to walls for decorative purposes, or for covering a layer of insulation uses extruded sections (1) of metal or plastic. The sections (1) have a flat base (4) with a box section (11) formed at one end which has an opening (9) at the upper outside corner. The section (1) is fixed by any suitable means to the wall (3) and is provided with hooks (15) to retain a layer of insulation. The covering sheets (2) are laid over the insulation and their edges (10) are pushed through the slot (9) into the interior of the box section (11), by means of a special tool. Once the edges (10) have been forced into the slot (9) they are retained by friction.
