Abstract

The mounting secures a scraper disc to a conveyor rope for granular or powdery material for an animal feeding system. The discs (2) are mounted in a row on the rope (1), each having a hub (4) working with a bush (3), also on the rope. Hub and bush work together so as to form a clamped mechanical coupling to the rope, preventing any sliding movement of the disc on the latter. The hub can have a taper bore (5), while the outer face (7) of the bush is also tapered, the bush being split and bored to the diameter of the rope. The hub is pressed onto the bush so as to clamp it against the rope. Internal coaxial grooves can be formed in the bush bore, so as to leave lands between, which bite into the rope during the clamping operation.
