Abstract

The tyre fitting machine is mounted on a skid which is fitted with towing lugs so that it can be moved, once it has been unloaded. The machine may be fitted with a packing case type cover which can be latched the ends and is located along the sides by overlapping the sides of the skid. The machine consists of a dismantling pillar (20) with an operating lever for removing the tyres from the wheel. A pillar (8) carries a vertical removeable extension which supports the tyre stretcher (9). The tyre stretcher is stowed on the base, so that the lid height may be kept to a minimum.
