Abstract

The yarn is prepd. by passing a standard knop yarn which is a composite comprising a core yarn, an effect yarn, and a binder yarn into a known nozzle, for treatment with a turbulent fluid, such as air. The yarn is slightly overfed by about 5 to 10% in relation to the speed of yarn removal. After the air jet treatment, the yarn is wound without tension. The method is less complicated and costly than other known processes, and yields the fancy at high speeds.
