Abstract

Procédé perfectionné pour la préparation de chlore et d'hydroxyde de métal alcalin par électrolyse selon la technique à l'amalgame d'un chlorure brut contenant du calcium et/ou des sulfates. Le calcium et les sulfates introduits dans la saumure par le chlorure brut sont éliminés par précipitation du sel double Na2 SO4 , CaSO4 . Le procédé selon l'invention est moins coûteux que les procédés classiques de purification par le chlorure de calcium et le carbonate de sodium.
