Abstract

The granule-recovery mechanism may be used to recover the shot from the floor of a shot-blasting shed (1) and has inclined reciprocating trays (12) set beneath a grating (11), to oscillate and displace the shot towards a collection trough (2). The trays (12) may extend for the length of the sheet locate side by side to cover the width of the shed. The reciprocal motion of the trays provides a slow advance, an abrupt stop and a rapid return. A chute (3) from the through (2) may lead to a bucket-elevator, and the trays (12) may span between rollers on both sides of longitudinal joists. The heads of the joists may be covered by inverted trapezoidal sections.
