Abstract

The apparatus is used clinically to rehabilitate the muscles of the limbs and the body. If comprises a tubular framework on a base, various locations being provided for different sets of exercising equipment. Adjustable seating is fitted on the base, opposite a spring or weight loaded sliding platform for exercising the legs in compression. Above this is another adjustable seat for exercising the legs in tension. Weighted bars and pulleys provide exercise for the arms in tension or compression. Other equipment exercises the shoulder, back and lumbar muscles and several persons can use the apparatus at the same time.
