Abstract
The fibre-optics indicator for built in deep freezes, is used to transmit an optical signal generated within the freezer body to the top of the external surface of the appliance door. A frame surrounding the door, can receive a decorative panel through which the optic fibres extend to render the signal visible. The optic fibre (17) is of S-shaped longitudinal section and is provided with a transparent and coloured head (21). The heading projects from the surface of the door (13), so as to lie flush with the frame (20), cut to receive the heading, and flush with a decorative panel used to cover the door surface.
