Abstract

The sides of the casing which covers the cutting blade diverges widely in a spiral as at (1), ending with a large ejection opening for cut grass at (2). The area of the opening is equal to half the surface of the cutting circle. The opening lies between the front and rear wheels on the right hand side and is of rectangular shape to reduce the height. The lower edge of the opening is supported by a bar connected to a sheet metal enclosure of the cutting circle. This support enables the collector bag (9) to be carried by the casing at the opening.
