Abstract
The artificial respiration unit provides a selection of respiration modes, these being automatically controlled. Compressed air and oxygen enter the system through separate inlets, controlled by multi-directional valves. Depending on the respiratory mode, and controlled by an automatic control unit the gas mixture passes through a pressure reducer valve and a flow restrictor to the patient. Alternatively, the mixture can flow into a breathing bag and then to the patient after passing through a flow restrictor.
