Abstract

The dish washer has at least one rotating spray arm housed in a chest-type wash container (11) which also contains at least one baffle member pref. in the form of a flat horizontal baffle plate, set above the liq. level (24) in the corner areas formed by the front-opening door (16) and side walls, to break up and direct the flow of wash liq. which flows down in the corner areas. By guiding this flow of liq. to the centre of the container it prevents an excessive build-up in the corners which could otherwise escape through the wall section defining the loading opening. It is thus not necessary for a seal to be provided in this wall area of the opening.
