Abstract

A TV receiver or other electro acoustic equipment has a retractable control panel to preserve the appearance and to make the controls as discrete as possible to avoid unrequired adjustment. The case (1) of a TV receiver has an internal boundary (2) which partially closes the enclosure for a control box (3) with lateral sides (7) carrying fixing pivots (8). The control box rotates around the pivots. An on off switch (9) controlled by a press button (11) is maintained on when the box is closed. Pressure on the control box casing (4) operates a cam (15) lever whose head (16) operates the switch. A knob (12) enables the switch to be manually controlled when the box is open.
