Abstract

Antiperspirant packages comprise (a) an antiperspirant compsn. contg. a basic Al cpd. (I), and (b) an applicator for applying the compsn. to the skin. Cpd. (I) is a basic Al chloride, bromide, iodide or nitrate with an Al=X molar ratio of 1.3-6.5:1 (where X=Cl, Br, I or NO3). In H2O, it forms an aq. soln. contg. molecules with a size of >100 angstrom. The propotion of the total Al in these molecules is >=2 (pref. 5-80, esp. 20-60) wt. %. (I) are more effective than conventional Al chlorohydrate antiperspirants.
