Abstract

Ce détecteur de gaz comprend un capteur 2 du type semi-conducteur chauffe et un élément chauffant 10 destiné à chauffer le capteur et qui est connecté à une source de puissance variable 8 dont la sortie est sensible à la concentration du gaz à détecter. Conformément à l'invention la sortie de la source de puissance est abaissée au-dessous d'un niveau normal de fonctionnement en réponse à une élévation de la concentration de gaz au-dessus d'un niveau de seuil choisi, et elle est élevée au-dessus du niveau normal de fonctionnement en réponse à une élévation de la concentration du gaz au-dessus d'un autre niveau supérieur audit niveau de seuiL Application en particulier à la détection du monoxyde de carbone dans l'atmosphère ambiante.
