Abstract
A two pack epoxy resin system comprises a first pack comprising a polyglycidyl aminophenol (I) and a second pack comprising a diphenyl anhydride (II). In the formula m is 1 or 2; A is -CO- or -C(R degrees)2-; each R degrees is H, -OH, 1-5 C alkyl or alkoxy or -OCOR1; R1 is 1-5C alkyl. Each R2 is H, halogen, 1-5 C alkyl, -NO2, -COOH, -SO3H or INH2. They can be cured at room temp. to give a bond strong at high temperature. 100 parts triglycidyl p-aminophenol is mixed with 96 parts 3,3',4,4'-benzophenotetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and used to bond Al.
