Abstract

The formation of a cable involves twisting together two wires. Before twisting, drops of glue are deposited on at least one of the wires at regularly separated points along the wires, the wires then being twisted together. The wires are either of insulated metal or of other insulated material. Elongate cables made by the above method are less likely to disassemble in use than cables made by conventional methods.
