Abstract

The rotary loading implement consists of a set of elongated, V-shaped holders arranged in a circle around the outside of a support, such as side-plates. The sides have outward-projecting teeth. The bottoms of the holders are pivot-mounted on the support. The end of one of the sides of each holder is hinged to a fixed roller-track eccentrically mounted on the support. The position of the roller-track is adjustable. An arc-shaped movable grid forms a screen in front of the holders at the front of the machine, to collect at the bottom any of the contents which have fallen out of the holders. Underneath the grid is a small cylinder rotating in the opposite direction to that of the holders, which conveys the last contents of the heap being loaded, in front of the bottom holder.
