Abstract

Lightweight, non-corroding troughs for holding flowers etc. are made from tubular profiles supported horizontally with holes or a slot cut along the uppermost side and the ends capped to retain earth and moisture inside the trough. Esp. claimed for window boxes made from round or polygonal cross-section profiles of rigid PVC or other materials suitable for guttering, etc. Lighter, more corrosion resistant than metal troughs, more rot-proof than wooden troughs, may be pigmented. Readily produced to any length from extruded profiles.
