Abstract

The parent patent described tyre carcases having two complementary rubber pads extending radially outwards from the tyre beads, where one pad is fibre filled and of hardness Shore A 85-93, but only one specific hardness level was claimed for the second pad. This addition specifies a hardness range of 70-95 degrees Shore A for the second pad. Also, the range for the ratio n/H is extended from 0.35-0.75 to 0.35-0.95 and a range of 0.15-0.35, pref. 0.22-0.28 is claimed for m/H, where 'n' is the distance from the internal radial edge of the bead to the external radial limit of the second pad, 'H' the distance from the same bead edge to the maximum radial height of the tyre carcass, and 'm' the distance from the same bead edge to the external radial limit of the first pad. Specifically, the first pad is filled with fibres of nylon, or of aliphatic "Nylon" or aromatic polyamides.
