Abstract

The system is for determining the coordinate location of a desired point in an image so as to be able to relocate that point for further processing. A TV camera (1) views an image field and supplies a video signal with synchronous line and field deflection components to a monitor (8). A light sensitive pen (9) is held against the screen of the monitor at the location point of interest. As the scanning beam of the monitor passes the light pen a sampling circuit is actuated to sample the ramp drives of the deflection circuit which signal is used to control clock circuitry for generating the coordinate values.
