Abstract

L'invention concerne une composition utile comme additif améliorant l'indice de viscosité d'une huile lubrifiante. Ladite composition contient de 1 à 20 % d'un copolymère soluble dans l'huile comprenant de 25 à 75 % de motifs éthylène et de 75 à 25 % de motifs de plus d'un comonomère choisis parmi : a des mono-oléfines à chaîne droite à terminaison insaturée de C3 - C14 , b le norbornène, c des dioléfines non conjuguées à terminaison non saturée de C5 à C8 , d le dicyclopentadiène et e le 5-méthylène-2-norbornène, à condition qu'un et pas plus d'un cornonomère a ne soit présent, ledit copolymère ayant une viscosité cinématique supérieure à 100 cSt à 98,8 degrés C, de 21 à 60 % d'un polybutene ayant une Mn comprise entre 5000 et 60 000 et une huile de base neutre raffinee au solvant.
