Abstract

Cette composition nouvelle comprend de 80 % à 98 % environ d'un polypropylène stéréorégulier et de 2 % à 20 % d'un polymère de styrène non hydrogéné. Ce dernier est un mélange de 25 % à 100 % d'un polymère de styrène à bas poids moléculaire et de 0 % à 75 % de polystyrène à haut poids moléculaire. Le polymère de styrène à bas poids moléculaire a un poids moléculaire moyen compris entre 600 et 6 000 environ et un point de ramolissement (point de goutte) compris entre 70 degrés C et 145 degrés C environ, tandis que le polystyrène à haut poids moléculaire a un poids moléculaire moyen supérieur à 6 000. Les films obtenus avec cette composition, lorsqu'ils sont orientés biaxialement, ont une bonne aptitude au thermosoudage, une faible tendance au blocage et une bonne transparence.This novel composition comprises from 80% to 98% approximately of a stereoregular polypropylene and from 2% to 20% of an unhydrogenated styrene polymer. Low molecular weight styrene polymer has an average molecular weight of between about 600 and 6000 and a softening point (dropping point) of between about 70 degrees C and 145 degrees C, while high molecular weight polystyrene has an average molecular weight greater than 6000. Films obtained with this composition, when biaxially oriented, have good heat sealability, low blocking tendency and good transparency.
