Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé d'exploration géophysique. On déplace sous l'eau un appareil sous-marin à hauteur pratiquement constante au-dessus du fond. Cet appareil émet deux faisceaux acoustiques à fréquences différentes, respectivement à tribord et à bâbord. Ces faisceaux se chevauchent légèrement et se dirigent de manière rasante vers le fond. On mesure la puissance des échos renvoyés. Application : recherches de manganèse.
