Abstract

The appts. is used to medically treat the nervous system and comprises one or more plates (5, 6) attached (25) to a cord or belt (19). This latter is adjustable for size and is fixed around the body using a catch (20) near the area of the xiphoid appendage. Each plate is made from a magnetic material of high remanence, such as an alloy of titanium, cobalt and aluminium. The plates have a permanent magnetic field, either a single pole, North or South, or having a North pole at one end and a South pole at the other, by passing them through a magnetised coil.
