Abstract

An acoustic wall member is designed so that it reflects incident sound waves in a particular manner. The wall member is so designed that the reflected sound waves have a particularly enhancing effect upon those sound waves approaching the member. In a circular version the diametral cross section comprises an inwardly conical section (2) and a surrounding section (3). Unwanted reflected sound from section (3) is absorbed in acoustic damping material (4).
