Abstract

The fluidic crystal display for an electronic wrist watch employs two separate groups of display elements. The first group are all of similar configuration and are used to indicate the time in hours minutes and seconds. The second group uses display elements which are of different visual configuration to the first group and are used to indicate the date, both display groups being energised continuously and simultaneously. The second display group pref. indicates the date and the day of the week, with the alpha-numeric characters represented by both groups being of differing size or inclined at differing angles.
