Abstract
The large-scale inductive heating appts. used for workpieces made from non-conductive materials, employs an inductive tube, for indirect heating of the workpieces. This inductive tube is formed from a series of elements each running longitudinally and coupled together in a ring. These elements may each comprise a graphite bar (1) with a length of 160 millimetres a width of 700 millimetres and a thickness of 60 millimetres. Twelve such elements joined together, e.g. by interlocking dovetail joints (3) to form the inductive tube.
