Abstract

The commutation circuit for a three-phase rotating machine, e.g. forming part of an electric traction system, supplies the machine with individual current pulses obtained by sub-dividing the initial 120 degree current pulses for each phase supplied during each period. The individual pulses are formed by intersecting the surfaces of the current diagram as a function of time a according to limit functions defined in terms of the angular frequency, so that, for each 120 degree current pulse, the machine receives at least three individual current pulses.
