Abstract

A transfer and positioning mechanism for biscuits between two conveyors includes positioning devices which are arranged alternately across the direction of transport at different levels. Means of transportation are provided to take the biscuits to positioners at one level and to return the cakes, lined up by positioners at another level, to the former level in parallel streams. This mechanism is suitable even when the biscuits arrive in irregular distribution. They are lined up into parallel paths without interference of one path with another.
