Abstract

Le rétroviseur est conçu pour permettre à volonté la mise en place de son miroir dans deux positions à des distances différentes du véhicule automobile porteur. Le rétroviseur comprend un bras ou une plaque 14 (articulé par rotule sur son support) et une tête à miroir 18 pouvant pivoter sur le bras en restant appliqué, par sa face opposée au miroir contre la face voisine du bras, tandis que des éléments de butée sont prévus sur les deux faces appliquées l'une sur l'autre au voisinage de la liaison à pivotement pour immobiliser la tête dans l'une quelconque des deux positions de la tête à miroir. Le rétroviseur s'applique notamment aux véhicules automobiles destinés à remorquer éventuellement une large charge, telle qu'une caravane.
