Abstract

New aminobenzocyloheptene derivs. are 7-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)-6,7-dihydro-5H-benzocycloheptene; 2-chloro-7-dimethylamino-6,7-dihydro-5H-benzocycloheptenes, acid-addn. salts; and the enantiomers of 7-methylamino-6,7-dihydro-5H-benzocycloheptene. The cpds. are antidepressants and potentiators of L-Dopa. They are given orally at 10-300 mg/day and have intraperitoneal LD50 in mice to 50-75 mg/kg.
