Abstract
Traitement de matières biodégradables, par exemple contenues dans des effluents d'installations productrices de produits alimentaires. La matière à traiter, généralement en solution ou suspension dans un liquide aqueux, passe de bas en haut dans une cuve verticale 11 dans laquelle un micro-organisme capable de digérer la matière biodégradable est entretenu par apport des substances nécessaires à son développement et par l'oxygène d'un courant d'air injecté à la base de la cuve 11. Au sommet de la cuve sort par un tube en U renversé 16, le mélange du liquide traité, des gaz et de l'excédent du micro-organisme. Les débits du produit à traiter et de l'air injecté sont réglés de façon que la concentration du micro-organisme reste sensiblement constante et qu'il ne sorte pas sensiblement de matière biodégradable de l'appareil. Le micro-organisme est par exemple le champignon Aspergillus niger. Le procédé est applicable par exemple aux effluents d'installations de traitement de produits alimentaires, laiteries, fromageries, huileries, etc
