Abstract

L'invention concerne un étau d'établi. L'étau comporte une mâchoire mobile 10 se prolongeant par une semelle horizontale allongée 12 pourvue une denture 20 en crémaillère, une mâchoire fixe 16 chevauchant la semelle, et un dispositif de serrage 22 fixé à demeure sur la mâchoire fixe et comprenant une vis 28 tourillonnant dans la mâchoire fixe et autour de laquelle est vissé un taquet 36 en forme d'écrou, pourvu sur sa paroi externe d'une denture 38, les positions relatives du dispositif de serrage et de la crémaillère étant choisies de maniere que les dents du taquet se trouvent directement en prise avec celles de la crémaillère. Le serrage s'effectue d'abord à la main puis à l'aide du dispositif de serrage.
