Abstract

Benzodioxan derivs. of formula (I) and their salts are new. In the formula, R1 and R2 are each opt. branched alkyl or aralkyl esp. phenalkyl or NR1R2 is a satd. 4-8 membered heterocycle, opt. contg. a further O, S or N heteroatom, the latter opt. being substd. by Ph, itself opt. substd. by halogen, CF3 or linear alkyl or alkoxy; each R3 is H or CH3; n is 2 or 3). (I) are sedatives and antiarrhythmics, for use in human or veterinary medicine for treating character and behavioural disorders; regulating neuropsychic equilibrium; treating insomnia, irritability and instability; moderating auricular and ventricular excitability without depressing the moycardium; and for preventing disturbances in rhythm following anterior infarction. Doses are e.g. 0.01-0.6g/day.
