Abstract
The cooker ring employs an inductive heating coil (12) in parallel with a capacitor (22), so as to form a delay circuit. A controlled switching device (24), e.g. a transistor or thyristor is connected between the latter circuit and a DC source. The switching device (24) is controlled by a reaction circuit (26) coupled to the junction between the switching device (24) and the delay circuit and comprising a diode in series with a monostable multi-vibrator. Pref. a temperature probe is positioned below the dielectric plate (14), heated by the inductive coil (12) and on which the pan is placed. This temperature probe is coupled to a thermostat switch (18, 20) for periodically interrupting the mains supply.
