Abstract

A display device for multi-position values continues the display in the event of power failure and has a display unit and display section. The system comprises a display unit for each position, and each display unit houses a display section with the numerals. Each display unit has a clutch for connecting the display section to a motor which is common to all the display units and operates continuously. The clutches are associated with a control device which controls the display sections to a setting corresponding to the value. The petrol pump (1) is equipped with several display devices (2 to 4) which consist of several display units (5).
