Abstract

The extracting machine, for removing granular or pulverised products from a silo or other container, consists of a helical screw (4) with a continuous thread (5) which is disposed on the bottom of the silo and rotates about the central axis (8). This screw is connected via bevel gears to a vertical helical screw which is in turn connected through bevel gears to another horizontal helical screw (12) which exits through the silo wall. All the screws are powered by a motor (14) driving pulleys (15, 16) connected by a belt (17). The top horizontal screw, the vertical screw and the first few threads of the bottom horizontal screw are encased in a sheath (25, 24). A friction roller (30) attached to the extremity of the bottom screw allows it to move around the silo bottom.
