Abstract

The prefabricated disposable chef's hat is composed of an essentially rectangular hat blank (1) having a fold (2) which serves as the lower hat edge on one longitudinal side of the blank, the hat circumference being selectable and adjustable to correspond to the particular head size. It is intended to give each wearer of the chef's hat the possibility of very quickly and easily making a hat which corresponds to the head size of the wearer and sits well and reliably. This is achieved in that the hat blank (1) has, only on one of its narrow sides, an adhesive device (4) which can be used to stick the narrow side to the opposite narrow side of the hat blank and which comprises an adhesive strip which is sticky on both sides and has a protective film on one side which can be peeled off, the fold (2) serving as the hat edge essentially amounting to a third of the entire width of the hat blank. The hat blank can be composed of, for example, paper, nonwoven fabric or plastic.
