Abstract

Process transfers heat through a heat-conductive wall, by projecting liq. into the wall in multiple thin jets at a given temp. The distance for which the jets are projected is kept as low, and the flow rate, speed and pressure as high as possible. Water can be used as the liq., the max. temp. being b.pt. and the process can be used for boilers and heat exchangers partic. those employed in cheese-making. Process gives a high coefft. of convection with rapid heat transfer at a uniform rate over the whole surface area.
