Abstract

The driving mirror stands on a metal foot, for safety reasons. A block of glass, or a material with a similar expansion coefficient, or of plastic is positioned between the windscreen and the mirror. The block pref. has chamfered edges on the side nearer the metal, to take an extra quantity of adhesive at these sensitive points, to reduce the thermal strains.
