Abstract

The agglomerate block is intended for building construction as masonry for walls or as rough blocks for ceilings and if used with insulation it is monolithic and the insulation is continuous.: The block has three separate zones, the first zone being solid and transmitting loads. Its edges are also sloped to make a notch for the joining mortar, preventing it form falling into the insulated zones. The second zone has insulation cavities, of which the extreme two are open-ended enabling the insulation to bridge the gap between two blocks. The third zone is one large enclosed insulation cavity.
