Abstract

Parent patent describes a protective helmet made of two rigid concentric shells bonded by an intermediate layer of polyurethane foam and fitted with a pivotted visor secured on the side of the helmet. In this addn., the side arms of the visor ride in recesses on each side of the helmet and are covered with false panels fitted flush with the helmet profile. The covers render the helmet smoother and the visor attachment more secure for e.g. motor cycling, motor racing, skiing.
