Abstract

The packing consists of corrugated cardboard (1) which is opened at both ends. The cylinder has number of cut away portions which cover one half of the circumference of the cylinder. The cut away portions are equally spaced and leave complete circular sections (2) (3) (4) and (5). The cylinder is slit longitudinally at the centre of each window (6) and (7). In wedging the corners of the packing the edges of the slit are bent inwards to take the corner of the article being packed.
