Abstract

The system is for fixing built-in furniture units e.g. wall cupboards (3) and utilises a frame (1), a filler piece (4) and a masking section (5). The frame members (1) may be of timber and are fixed round the periphery of the wall opening (2). The filler pieces (4) interpose the unit (3) and the frame (1), and the unit is nailed (6) or screwed through the filler (4) into the frame (1). The filler may be a simple rectangular section lathe or be of 'L' section (4). In the latter case the leg of the 'L' returns externally over the frame member (1). The masking section (5) may be fixed over the joint between filler (4) and frame (1) and, thus, short filler piece lengths may be deployed.
