Abstract
A filtration system for sepg. fibre and down from a flow of air in e.g. textile plant, has a cyclone discharging into a chamber with a filter sleeve attached to a right angle bend connected to a smaller cyclone outside the chamber. A larger discharge tube with a fine filter is mounted at the other end of the chamberin line with the filter sleeve. This sleeve is mounted inside a perforated flexible sleeve. A body mounted in front of the mouth of the filter sleeve, causes turbulence. The sleeve is mounted slackly between its attachment points, and layers inwards. This results in a vibration sufficient to prevent clogging. In an alternative design, instead of the body, flexible ribbons are attached to the sleeve to cause turbulence. The mesh of the filter is 100-1000 mu, pref. 150-650 mu. The speed of flow is 3-30 m/s pref. 10-15 m/s.
