Abstract

A multiple relay switching circuit enables two telephones to the connected automatically to a GPO telephone line or they may be interconnected. This system is useful for small business where a telephone in a flat has an extension to the business. In a business where two telephones are connected to a single GPO line a relay ensures that both telephones are connected to the line. Two other relays ensure that calls are received simultaneously on both telephones. A ringing tone warns users that an external call is present when both telephones are in communication and a musical tone replaces occupied tone when double call is in process.
