Abstract

The coupling block is for jointing electrical or fibre optics cables, which are used in telecommunication circuits. The object is to prevent damage to the joint caused by pressure, friction, tension and other stresses. The coupling block consists of a housing (2), a cover (3) and links (5) both under the base of the housing and on top of the cover. The housing is box shaped with a removable side wall (10). The cable entries are on opposite side walls. The cable entries terminate in slits which extend to the edge of the walls. These slits are plugged when the cable is inserted.
